Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas recognized the West Visayas State University Library as finalist for Outstanding Partner for the Knowledge Resource Network in Region VI. WVSU library placed second, after Central Philippine University Library, in this category. This award recognizes the WVSU Library for its exemplary support to the information requirements and advocacy programs of the BSP. Held at Diversion 21 Hotel, Iloilo City, Philippines last September 11, 2018, the awards ceremony was led by Monetary Board Member Antonio S. Abacan, Jr. WVSU’s Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Luis A. Abioda, received the award, along with the Gold Hall of Fame award for West Visayas State University.
