The librarians from WVSU, headed by Dr. Elra Di Madalogdog and accompanied by Mrs. Anna Liza Calugas and Ms. Ericka Alimojane, were invited to the Jail Library Seminar, which was attended by BJMP officers across the region. The activity was organized to assist BJMP officers assigned to the Jail Library.

Librarians organized a lecture titled “Cataloging and Classification 101,” which included a workshop that actively engaged the participants. Attendees learned fundamental concepts and techniques for systematically grouping and organizing collections based on their types, which they can use to effectively implement the Jail Library. The dedication of BJMP officers to providing lifelong learning opportunities for persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) is evident in the establishment of the Jail Library Unit.
